Thank you all for how sweet comments about my last blog post, The Picture in My Head.
I wanted to do a quick little follow up post to show you a couple more pictures. They aren’t the ones you will see on most people’s Facebook. These are not highlight reel material. These aren’t things I dreamed about…
But they are real life. And I think sharing that is important too.
Kids awake in the middle of the night. Laundry (oh, the laundry!) A toddler hand stuck in a bucket of tractor oil. Purchases to survive little ones with the stomach flu. The never-ending dish situation.
So just remember, you can get the picture in your head. You can get everything you ever wanted. You can have the dream life. But that doesn’t mean it’s perfect. It doesn’t mean things are always easy. It doesn’t mean you don’t have to pay bills or that you never argue with your spouse or that the dish fairy shows up and clears the sink every night.
The real world isn’t all picture perfect. But we get to choose how we view our life. We can be grateful for the picture we had in our head, or we can be cranky about the dishes in the sink. The photo that we focus on, and the way we live our lives…that’s up to us.
